We need photos to share
Readers, we’d like to see your best fall photographs, the type of snapshots that show why this season brings out the best in Spokane Valley. We’ll publish them on the Picture Perfect page, our weekly community scrapbook of photos from Spokane Valley readers
Think of harvest festivals with apple cider, fabulous fall scenes, fun family events and special milestones. Send us your party pictures, hay ride snapshots and candid photos.
We’ll publish your slice-of-life photographs for free. Just send them in via e-mail or put them in an envelope and deliver them the old-fashioned way. Include a few sentences giving a detailed description of the photograph, where it was taken and what the occasion was. Include names, ages and hometowns of everyone in the shot. All photographs will be returned.

Scam artist
Man keeps fundraising money
Business owners be warned. An imposter pretending to be raising money for school athletics is trying to rip off civic-minded entrepreneurs.
A white male with brown hair, who weighs 280 to 300 pounds and is described as not particularly well groomed has approached Spokane area businesses asking if they would like to advertise on school sports calendars, Spokane Valley police spokesman Dave Reagan said in a press release.
Several businesses that paid him $150 last year, later realized he simply kept the money, Reagan said.
Anyone with information on the scam or the suspect’s identity is encouraged to call the police at 242-TIPS.
