Warren Miller film at NIC auditorium
North Idaho College’s Snowriders Club and Lookout Pass will present “Off the Grid”, the latest winter sports film from Warren Miller Entertainment, at 7 p.m. Nov. 26, in NIC’s Boswell Hall Schuler Auditorium.
Warren Miller’s “Off the Grid” chronicles the world’s best winter sports athletes as they embark on a global mission to experience the deepest snow, the steepest mountains and the world’s most intense snowball fight. The film brings viewers deeper into the heart of the mountains with true cinematic widescreen as part of the country’s only high-definition nationwide tour.
Part action/adventure and part documentary, the film features skier Jaime Pierre and his world record-setting 245-foot snow-covered cliff drop as well as other outdoor sports athletes and the World Snowball Fighting Championships in Hokkaido, Japan.
Tickets are $14 for adults and $10 for NIC students, senior citizens and those 17 and younger.
Tickets are available at the door or can be purchased in advance at the Outdoor Pursuits Office on the lower level of NIC’s Edminster Student Union Building, Loulou’s Moosecamp Sports Shop at 215 W. Kathleen in Coeur d’Alene and the Ski Shack at 9437 Government Way in Hayden.
