Morrison, Bobcats cut down Nets
Rookie Adam Morrison scored 22 points and Sean May had a career-high 20 Tuesday night in East Rutherford, N.J., as the Charlotte Bobcats beat New Jersey 96-92, sending the Nets to their sixth straight loss.
Primoz Brezec had 13 for the Bobcats, who ended a two-game losing streak and won for only the second time in seven road games. Raymond Felton and Gerald Wallace each added 12.
Richard Jefferson led New Jersey with 27 points. Vince Carter had 25 and Nenad Krstic 20.
Wizards 96, Hawks 95: At Washington, Caron Butler’s three-point play with 1:04 remaining helped the Wizards beat Atlanta.
Butler scored 21 points and was perfect on 15 free throws to extend his streak to 32 straight, dating to Nov. 15 against the New York Knicks.
Bucks 109, Lakers 105: At Los Angeles, Michael Redd scored 18 of his 45 points in the fourth quarter, Mo Williams added 22 and Milwaukee snapped a streak of 10 consecutive losses to the Lakers.
Redd recorded two four-point plays for the Bucks, who shot 50.6 percent from the field.
Rockets 82, Timberwolves 75: At Houston, Yao Ming scored 25 points, Shane Battier hit a pair of key 3-pointers and added 17 points, and the Rockets beat Minnesota.
Rafer Alston also hit a late 3-pointer and scored 13 points as the Rockets won their fourth straight game despite an injury to Tracy McGrady, who left the game early with an injury to his left side.
Bulls 102, Knicks 85: At Chicago, Ben Gordon scored 23 points and the Bulls beat New York for the second time in four nights.
The Knicks were missing starting forwards Channing Frye and Quentin Richardson, who were injured Saturday.
Grizzlies 108, Nuggets 96: At Denver, Hakim Warrick scored 25 points and Memphis broke a 17-game losing streak in Denver with a victory over the Nuggets.
Carmelo Anthony, who was recently named the Western Conference player of the week, finished with 37 points for Denver. He has scored 30 or more points in 10 of his last 11 games.
Pacers 105, Trail Blazers 97: At Portland, reserve Danny Granger scored 21 points, Jermaine O’Neal added 20 points and eight rebounds, and Indiana beat the Trail Blazers.
Zach Randolph had 30 points and 11 rebounds for the Blazers, who lost for the eighth time in the last 10 games.
Kings 93, Clippers 80: At Sacramento, Calif., Ron Artest had 28 points and eight rebounds in the Kings’ 14th consecutive victory over Los Angeles.
Mike Bibby had 19 points and 10 assists for the Kings, who kept the Clippers winless on the road this season – and winless in their last 17 trips to Arco Arena since 1997.
Raptors 94, Hornets 77: At Oklahoma City, Chris Bosh had 19 points and 14 rebounds and Toronto beat New Orleans for its first road win of the season.

The Charlotte Bobcats signed veteran swingman Derek Anderson. Charlotte will be the seventh team for the 32-year-old Anderson. … Don Nelson could become only the second coach in NBA history to reach 1,200 victories tonight when his Golden State Warriors host the Indiana Pacers. Lenny Wilkens has the career record with 1,332 wins.
