Tardy’s running continues to improve, and the three-headed backfield shows promise.

Wide receivers: B+

Nice day catching the ball for Bumpus, Boyd and, at times, Hill.

Offensive line: A

Kept the quarterback clean and the ground game moving despite injuries.

Defensive line: B

Was solid against Trojans running attack until tiring late.

Linebackers: C

Pass coverage isn’t easy, but if WSU had been a touch better it might have won this game.

Fared decently against USC, but didn’t make enough big plays on third downs.

Superb offensive game plan was nearly enough – coaches had WSU believing it could win.
