CdA Charter wins in five

Kalyn Lovin’s all-around play led Coeur d’Alene Charter to a five-game win over visiting Kootenai in North Star League volleyball Monday night.

Lovin had six kills, four digs and one assist as CdA Charter (6-2) pulled out a 25-22, 17-25, 18-25, 25-19, 18-16 victory.

Katie Baker led CdA Charter with 11 kills and two blocks and Sarah McHugh had 10 assists and six aces. Hannah Nyrop had 14 kills and Christine Gimmeson 25 assists to lead Kootenai (4-3).

Community Colleges of Spokane men and women won championships at the Walla Walla Fall Classic golf tournament Monday at Wild Horse Resort in Pendleton, Ore.
