Multimedia show to benefit Interplayers
Writer-director Esta Rosevear believes that Mark Twain, Will Rogers and James Thurber had one thing in common: They all understood that people get through hard times with a combination of “humor, honesty and just plain persevering.”
So she has gathered these three humorists together, in spirit, for a multimedia show, “Good Morning World How Are You,” to benefit Interplayers.
The first part of the show will feature local actors portraying Twain, Rogers and some characters from their stories. The second part will be a presentation of Thurber’s “The Last Flower,” a cautionary tale written in 1939 as a “parable in pictures.”
It’s a collaboration between Rosevear, Interplayers’ new business manager, and her husband, William Rosevear, who serves as the show’s technical director.
Performances are tonight and Friday at 8 p.m. at Interplayers, 174 S. Howard. Tickets are $15 ($12 for season ticket holders), at the box office or by calling (509) 455-PLAY.
