Mt. Spokane’s Jenn Andrews had a game-high 19 kills to lead the Wildcats to a 25-19, 25-16, 20-25, 25-23 win over Gonzaga Prep (6-2) in Greater Spokane League volleyball action Tuesday at Mt. Spokane (5-3).
Megan Bloomquist had 17 assists and two aces for Mt. Spokane. Leslie Whigham led the Bullpups with 16 kills and five blocks.
In other league action, East Valley (1-6) beat host Rogers (0-7) 25-13, 25-22, 25-20. Katie Arnold led the Knights with eight kills and Pam Eatock added 15 digs. … Mead’s Meg Ryan had 12 kills and Alex Cey added 16 digs as the Panthers (6-0) posted a 25-16, 25-18, 23-25, 25-16 win over host Central Valley (3-4). … Lexi Bishop had 10 digs, five kills and four blocks to lead Shadle Park (3-4) to a 25-17, 25-19, 25-22 win over visiting North Central (3-4). Brynn Delong added four blocks and an ace for the Highlanders. … Erica Ehlo had 13 kills and 12 digs to guide Lewis and Clark (8-0) to a 25-13, 15-25, 25-18, 25-19 win over host University (2-5). Oviatt had four of the Greyhounds’ 15 aces. … Colville (5-3) beat Medical Lake (0-9) 25-7, 25-16, 25-14 in Medical Lake. Emilee Lepp led the Indians with six kills and five aces and Brittney Pannel added six kills. … Kayla Newberg led Riverside (5-4) with 17 kills, four aces and three blocks as the Rams beat rival Deer Park (4-5) 23-25, 25-21, 25-18, 25-18 in Riverside. Kaitlyn Proctor and Molly McLure each had a hat trick in Cheney’s 7-0 Great Northern League win over visiting Medical Lake (2-9, 2-8). Proctor got things going early for the Blackhawks (9-2, 9-1), scoring the first three goals of the game. … In other league action, Mary Kate Willford made 12 saves to guide Deer Park (6-7, 5-5) to a 1-0 shutout of host Colville (4-5, 4-5). Dominique Swenson scored in the sixth minute for the Stags, who won despite being outshot 14-6. … West Valley (8-4, 8-2) scored five first-half goals en route to an 8-0 win over visiting Riverside (2-10, 2-8). DeeDee Garbe had a hat trick for the Eagles, who dominated the action, outshooting the Rams 19-4. … Katie Spangenberg had two goals and an assist in Pullman’s 3-0 shutout of host Clarkston (2-8, 2-7). The Greyhounds (12-1, 9-1) dominated play, outshooting the Bantams 17-0. Pullman is tied with Cheney atop the GNL standings.
