Slowpitch softball

Jessica Hart pitched a two-hitter and Amber Johnson hit a two-run triple in the first inning as Shadle Park blanked Lewis and Clark 6-0 in a Greater Spokane League playoff game Tuesday at Shadle.

The Highlanders (9-6) will advance to play a loser-out game at University (14-0) at 3:30 today. The Tigers (6-9) are finished for the season.

In other playoff action, Michelle Lloyd hit a grand slam in Central Valley’s nine-run fourth inning as the Bears (9-6) beat visiting North Central (3-12) 11-0 in five innings. The Indians, who are finished for the season, only managed four hits. CV will play at Rogers (11-3) today at 3:30 in a loser-out game.

Girls soccer

Rachel Rule and Kaitlyn Proctor each scored a goal to guide visiting Cheney (11-2, 11-1) to a 2-0 shutout of West Valley in a Great Northern League match. The Blackhawks outshot the Eagles (9-5, 9-3) 17-7. … Also in the GNL, Theresa Fischer, Kristen Johnson and Holly Bond all scored in the shootout to lead Riverside (4-10, 4-8) to a 2-1 victory over host Colville (4-7, 4-7). The Rams won despite being outshot 18-8. … Lena Miraglio scored all four of Clarkston’s goals as the Bantams beat visiting Medical Lake 4-1. Clarkston (3-9, 3-8) outshot the Cardinals (2-11, 2-10) 28-15. … Ashley Attridge had two goals and three assists to lead host Deer Park to a 10-0 win over Chewelah (0-13, 0-11). The Stags (7-7, 6-5) had 45 shots on goal. … Katie Spangenberg had two second-half goals to lead host Pullman to a 3-0 shutout of Lakeside (9-3, 8-3). The Greyhounds (13-1, 10-1) kept sole possession of first place.

Emilee Lepp had 16 digs and 13 kills to lead Colville (6-4) to a 25-8, 25-19, 27-25 win over host Cheney (3-8) in a Great Northern League match. … Also in the GNL, Ariana Obert and Brianna Nap had five aces each to lead Deer Park (5-6) to a 25-20, 25-14, 25-15 win over visiting Clarkston (1-9). The Stags had 15 aces. … Alyssa Garro had 18 kills and four aces to lead Pullman to a 24-26, 25-15, 26-24, 25-13 win over host Riverside (6-5). The Greyhounds (11-0) remain atop the league standings. … Melissa Maura had 10 kills and Alyssa Wold added 15 assists and five aces as West Valley (10-1) beat Medical Lake (1-10) 25-8, 25-20, 25-12 at WV. Richelle Daily led the Cardinals with four kills.
