In-concert ‘Evita’ presented at Civic Theatre’s Main Stage

The Spokesman-Review

A special in-concert version of the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical “Evita” will be presented for one performance only Sunday on the Spokane Civic Theatre’s Main Stage, 1020 N. Howard St.

More than 20 local performers will participate in this event, which will feature all of the songs of the original musical, but not all of the staging.

Featured are Abbey Crawford as Eva Peron, Max Mendez as Che Guevara and Noel Barbuto as Juan Peron. Yvonne A.K. Johnson is the director and Carolyn Jess is the musical director.

This is a follow-up to last year’s successful in-concert version of “Jekyll & Hyde.” Proceeds benefit the Civic.

Curtain time is 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $25, available by calling the box office at (509) 325-2507.
