People: Lohan sets her sights high
Lindsay Lohan has a 10-year plan.
“I want to get married before I’m 30,” the 20-year-old actress tells InStyle magazine.
“And have my house. And make the kind of record I want. And I’d like to win an Oscar before then.”
Sounds like the world-famous party girl is getting serious.
In July, Lohan was publicly scolded by a studio executive for her absences on the set of the upcoming movie “Georgia Rule.”
She missed work, she says, because she went out for a friend’s birthday after a day of filming in intense heat.
“It’s about learning to say no more than yes,” she says. “I’m a people-pleaser. But you can’t always make everyone happy.”
That apparently includes her beau, restaurateur Harry Morton. Lohan says she and Morton are taking a “break.”
Breaking up the band
Sharon Osbourne says she plans to remove a gastric band that helped her lose 125 pounds and instead rely on psychotherapy to cope with her weight issues.
“I have to figure out why I do what I do to myself,” rocker Ozzy Osbourne‘s 54-year-old wife/manager tells People magazine. “I think I have some sort of self-destruction button.”
Despite the band squeezing down her stomach, Osbourne says she packed on 15 pounds this year “from overeating.”
“I keep trying to eat more and more … I’m a pig,” she says.
A little emergency cash
Martha Stewart has pledged to donate $1 million toward a new emergency department at the hospital where doctors stitched up her hand last December.
The 65-year-old lifestyle guru visited the emergency room at Northern Westchester Hospital in Mount Kisco, N.Y., after slicing her hand while carving a turkey in her home about four miles away.
Stewart’s pledge is conditional; other donors must give $2 million by the end of the year before her money kicks in.
Will Victoria’s stay secret?
CBS appears not to hold any kind of grudge against Justin Timberlake for that whole Janet Jackson wardrobe malfunction thing.
Timberlake will headline the network’s “Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show,” airing Dec. 5.
Ironically, CBS opted not to air the annual lingerie-o-rama in 2004 following Timberlake and Jackson’s ill-fated Super Bowl halftime performance, in which he exposed her breast.
Those crackers are at it again
Rose Rock, the mother of comedian Chris Rock, says she plans to file a lawsuit after being racially discriminated against when she was seated but ignored for a half hour at a Cracker Barrel restaurant in South Carolina.
A Cracker Barrel spokeswoman said the chain, which has faced numerous lawsuits and a federal inquiry over allegations of discrimination against minorities and gays, was taking Rock’s complaint “very seriously.”
