Trentwood SCOPE – Volunteers voted to send $300 donations to Second Harvest, Valley Meals on Wheels and the Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery. The money came from the rest-stop fundraiser. (Source: Jan Eastman)

Valley Fire – The draft contract with AMR for ambulance services has been forwarded to the district’s lawyers for review. A flu shot clinic for employees is planned. Commissioners approved changes to the collective bargaining agreement. They passed a resolution declaring an old fire truck surplus. There is a new Web site: www.spokanevalleyfire.com. Fairfield City Council – Skate park supporters presented a scaled down project and hope to start construction next year if they can raise $16,000. A public hearing was held on Community Development Block Grant funding. Council members plan to apply for a grant to fund a new telemetry system to monitor water usage. Rockford City Council – The council held a public hearing on capital improvement needs; repairs to the water reservoir are at the top of the list. It also approved a contract to pay to have the sewage lagoon fixed. (Source: Town Clerk)
