Halloween Party – Children ages 3 and up may visit Camp Fire USA’s Camp Dart-Lo for hay rides, a haunted house, games, treats and more at 14000 N. Dartford Drive. Hours are 4:30-7 p.m. Friday, noon-4 p.m. Saturday and noon-3 p.m. Sunday. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Admission is $5 per child. Proceeds benefit the camp. (509) 747-6191.

Engineers Forum of Spokane – With a presentation on salt crystal halo therapy, noon Monday at the Holiday Inn Airport, 1616 Windsor Drive. Lunch is $13. (509) 244-3467.

Wilderness protection – Doug Scott, director for the Campaign for America’s Wilderness, will read from his book “The Enduring Wilderness” and speak about local wilderness campaigns such as Scotchman Peaks, 7 p.m. Monday in Gonzaga University’s Cataldo Hall, 502 E. Boone. (208) 255-2780.
