Junior hockey

Spokane Chiefs defenseman Sean Zimmerman was handed a two-game suspension by the Western Hockey League on Monday, meaning he will miss Wednesday’s home game with Portland.

Zimmerman already served one game by sitting out Saturday’s contest with Vancouver. The suspension stems from an attempt to injure match penalty given to Zimmerman in Friday’s night’s game with Seattle.

•The Chiefs have announced the addition of four road games versus the Tri-City Americans to their television broadcast schedule on Comcast channel 12: Nov. 4, Dec. 2, Feb. 10, and March 17.
