Police seek armed man who struck victim with bottle
Police were called to the Puerto Vallarta Restaurant, 6915 E. Sprague Ave., early Monday after a report that someone smashed a man in the head with a beer bottle, then drew a gun on him.
Just after midnight, police found a 25-year-old man with cuts on his face who said his ex-wife’s boyfriend tried to pick a fight with him earlier in the night, according to a release from Spokane Valley Police spokesman Sgt. Dave Reagan.
A man known as Poncho, which is also tattooed on his neck, left after insulting the victim but returned and hit the man with the bottle and drew a black pistol from his pants, Reagan said.
Poncho said he was going to kill the man but left in a white four-door Cadillac last seen going westbound on Sprague, according to the release.
Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Spokane Valley Police at 242-TIPS.
