At the Silverwood Invitational, Timberlake’s Frank Lagrimanta led the boys with a time of 15 minutes, 43 seconds and Sandpoint’s Megan Barlett finished first among girls with a time of 19:38. North Central’s Mary Graesser took second place. Approximately 400 runners took part.
North Central placed first among girls with a score of 67, followed by Sandpoint’s 77. Borah’s boys took first with a score of 39, followed by Lake City’s 74.

Sadie Simon scored a goal in the fourth minute and Coeur d’Alene (5-2, 3-0) beat Sandpoint (3-4-1, 1-3-1) 3-0 in Inland Empire League play in Coeur d’Alene. … Also in the IEL, Lakeland’s Camille Reynolds broke a scoreless tie in the 45th minute and Lakeland (6-1-1, 4-1) beat visiting Moscow (2-4-1, 1-3-1) 2-0 at Rathdrum.

Brian Edwards and Luke O’Rourke had two goals apiece as host Moscow (4-3, 2-3) beat Lakeland (0-6, 0-4) 5-0 in Inland Empire League action. Edwards’ second goal was a rebound off Sam Smathers’ header attempt.
Volleyball
Amanda Olson had 14 kills and Stephanie Squires added 29 assists as Kellogg (3-0, 1-0) won an Intermountain League thriller 22-25, 25-20, 25-13, 10-25, 16-14 over host Timberlake (4-2, 1-1) at Spirit Lake.
