Redick pleads guilty to DUI

DURHAM, N.C. – J.J. Redick pleaded guilty Monday to drunken driving charges and received a one-year sentence of unsupervised probation.

The former Duke basketball star also received a 60-day suspended license in North Carolina, $410 in fees and court costs and was given 24 hours of community service.

The district court judge agreed to allow Redick, a first-round draft pick of the Orlando Magic, to serve his community service in Florida.

He was arrested after 1 a.m. on June 13 when he made an illegal U-turn after approaching a license check point near the Duke campus.

New Hampshire’s win over Northwestern was the third for a I-AA team over a team from a BCS conference this season, and gave I-AA teams at least one win over every BCS league in the last three seasons.

New Hampshire beat Rutgers of the Big East in 2004, while Maine knocked off the SEC’s Mississippi State. UC Davis beat Stanford (Pac-10) last year, while Montana State beat Colorado (Big 12) and Richmond knocked off Duke (ACC) last week.

We won’t talk about Montana State turning around and losing to Division II Chadron State.
