Traffic at 57th, Palouse will be topic

From Staff Reports The Spokesman-Review

A traffic study for a potential commercial development on old greenhouse property at the southeast corner of 57th Avenue and Palouse Highway has been scheduled for today at 6 p.m. at the Fire District 8 station, 6117 S. Palouse Highway.

Nearby residents are invited to discuss possible changes in traffic patterns and street access to the 18-acre site, which eventually could become a retail grocery or mixed-use development.

Bill White of USKH Inc. of Spokane is listed as a contact for the project.

Members of the Moran Prairie Neighborhood Association are being asked to attend. An earlier meeting was held in June 2005.

The property was rezoned as community commercial by county commissioners in August 2004. At the time, Yoke’s Foods was identified as a possible developer.
