White House/Black Market plans store at RPS
A specialty store offering monochromatic clothing is moving into River Park Square.
White House/Black Market is expected to open in November and is among several new businesses locating in the mall, said Rob McOmie, River Park Square’s general manager.
White House/Black Market sells black, white and gray apparel and accessories. The store is owned by Chico’s FAS Inc. and caters to fashion-conscious women in their mid-twenties and older. It’s moving into an about 5,900-square-foot main-floor space adjacent to the Sawtooth Grill.
Representatives of White House/Black Market declined to comment on the River Park Square location.
Chico’s FAS Inc. is based in Fort Myers, Fla., and operates 813 stores located in the United States and Puerto Rico, the company’s Web site said. The company operates a Chico’s store on the main floor of River Park Square, which currently is expanding.
Chico’s owns 213 White House/Black Market stores, including five in Western Washington.
White House/Black Market appeals to a similar demographic as Nordstrom, McOmie said, and fits well within the retail landscape of the mall.
Chatters Salon is also slated to open in November, in a suite near Pottery Barn. The Canadian-based company has 70 franchises that offer trendy hairstyles, its Web site said.
The opening of J.Jill, a specialty retailer catering to women age 35 is also planned for November.
