Festival showcases Greek cuisine, music, dancing
We’ve missed the dancing and the cooking demonstrations. And we’ve really missed the authentic Greek meals and pastries served up since last year’s Greek Festival at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 1703 N. Washington St.
Thank goodness that the 71st annual festival is back next Thursday through Sept. 30 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Lunch is served at 11 a.m., and dinner is from 4:30 to 8 p.m.
Experience Greek culture with dancing and cooking demonstrations, and the orthodox bookstore will be open as well.
Dinner tickets are $12 each and diners have the choice of enjoying their meals in the church dining room or taking them home.
Menu items include souvlaki, kapama, pastries, deli items, and there will be beer and wine available.
