Basketball
Oct. 14-15: The Eastern Washington University Intramural Sports program will host the 12th annual EWU Fall Shootout 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament. High school and adult divisions only. Boating
Oct. 17: U.S. Coast Guard-approved America’s Boating Course for all types of boaters. This eight-hour class runs four consecutive Tuesdays from 7-9 p.m. Cost: $40 per person. Info: 328-6165.

Oct. 13-18: Lake Roosevelt Mothership Kayak Tour for ages 18 and older. Spokane Parks and Recreation will provide all kayaking equipment, sleeping accommodations on the houseboat, meals and guides. Oct. 15: Spokane Marathon, half marathon, marathon relay and 5-mile run sponsored by the Bloomsday Road Runners Club. The marathon and half marathon begin on Spokane Falls Blvd. near Riverfront Park. The 5-mile course is partly on the Centennial Trail. Marathon is $40 with a sweatshirt, $22 without. Half marathon is $30 with a T-shirt, $12 without. Five-mile race is $12 with T-shirt, $7 without.
