Make-A-Wish fundraiser Thursday

Cold Stone Creamery is hosting a fundraising event to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America on Thursday.

The “World’s Largest Ice Cream Social” features free 3-ounce scoops of “Make-A-Wish” ice cream (a flavor developed by a 10-year-old “wish” child from Colorado) at Cold Stone Creamery locations: 9502 N. Newport Highway, Suite 7; 3011 E. 29th Ave., in Spokane; and 2396 Old Mill Loop in Coeur d’Alene. The ice cream will be scooped from 5 to 8 p.m. by local celebrities and wish recipient Carmen Campbell, who will be at the Newport Highway location.

Donations collected during the social and throughout the month will benefit the local chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary of granting wishes to more than 3,000 children in the region.
