Burglar who failed to go to jail sought
A reward is being offered for information on a Spokane Valley burglar who absconded when a judge gave him a furlough.
The fugitive, 24-year-old Brooks Brendon Sieglock, pleaded guilty to eight counts on Aug. 29, and Spokane County Superior Court Judge Harold Clarke III sentenced him to 71/4 years in prison. But Sieglock was allowed to remain free temporarily.
An arrest warrant, charging escape, was issued Sept. 12 when Sieglock failed to report to jail as agreed.
Since then, according to sheriff’s Sgt. Dave Reagan, Sieglock has been charged in a first-degree armed burglary.
The charges to which Sieglock pleaded guilty last month were two counts of first-degree burglary, three counts of unlawful possession of a firearm, first-degree theft, first-degree trafficking in stolen property, and forgery.
Reagan said Sieglock’s most recent address was 2608 S. Balfour Road.
Sieglock is 5-foot-10, weighs 170 pounds and has brown hair and eyes.
Anyone with information about Sieglock is asked to call the private Secret Witness organization at (509) 327-5111. Callers may remain anonymous and still collect the reward by using a code name or number.
