Scarlett’s still casting her spell

Scarlett Johansson‘s acting talent – not to mention hourglass figure – have won her a flock of fans, including the editors at Esquire magazine, which has just crowned her its “Sexiest Woman Alive.”

She wears a bra and a white Calvin Klein mini-dress on the cover of the magazine’s upcoming November issue, while a series of photos inside shows her in the likes of cleavage-baring black lingerie paired with an open white robe.

But Johansson, 21, says she would rather be admired for something other than sex appeal.

“What about my brain? What about my heart? What about my kidneys and my gallbladder?” she asks.

A frequent target of the paparazzi, Johansson once flashed a sign proclaiming, “the person taking this picture is harrassing me.”

“Apparently I spelled ‘harass’ wrong,” she says. “It was horrible. I couldn’t remember whether it was one ‘r’ or two, and I asked like four people, and they said two.”

For better, and for worse …

Anna Nicole Smith exchanged vows with her longtime lawyer, Howard K. Stern, aboard a catamaran Thursday in the Bahamas, though it wasn’t legally binding.

The ceremony took place 18 days after Smith’s 20-year-old son, Daniel, died while visiting her in a Nassau hospital, where she had just given birth to a girl. Stern says he’s the baby’s father.

Trimspa, the diet products company that uses Smith as a spokeswoman, said the couple “made a commitment before God to be there for one another, to be each other’s strength during this difficult time, now and always.”

They plan an official wedding later.

No Trimspa, just baby

Actress Amanda Peet and screenwriter husband David Benioff, who are expecting a child together, plan to marry this weekend.

Peet told David Letterman this week that she is four months’ pregnant, earning her the nickname “Fatty” on the set of her new NBC show, “Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip.”

Now that’s scary

Liza Minnelli, who had a recurring role in the late, great “Arrested Development,” will return to TV as a guest star in an upcoming episode of “Law & Order: Criminal Intent.”

Minnelli, 59, will play a former beauty queen whose daughter, an aspiring pageant winner, was found murdered on Halloween night.

It’s a ‘hood thing

So who do you suppose Martha Stewart‘s dream guest is for her “Martha” TV show?

None other than rapper Eminem.

“We play his music during breaks to keep people very lively, and they love him,” the 65-year-old lifesttle guru says.
