Name: Winnie Barth

Age: 65

Hometown: I was born in Winona, Wash., where I lived for 21 years. After that, I lived all over while teaching for 38 years, including 15 years on Kwajalein atoll in the Marshall Islands. We moved to Twin Lakes Village in 2001 from Othello, Wash.

Occupation: I’m retired from teaching. I was a reading specialist for elementary school students.

Family: I have one son, Brian Cross, in Las Vegas. My husband, Mert, has two daughters, Kristine in Atherton, Calif., and Nacole in Victorville, Calif. And we have two beautiful granddaughters.

Hobbies: Crafts and reading

What do you like about North Idaho? The beautiful scenery and the friendly people.

What do you like or dislike about the current season? We’ve had too many gray days this winter, but I still enjoy being outside.

Favorite music: I’m an eclectic listener. I enjoy all kinds of music.

Favorite TV show: “Grey’s Anatomy”

Favorite movie: “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”

Favorite spot in North Idaho? Why? On top of the men’s tee box on the third hole at Twin Lakes Golf Course. It’s just a beautiful view.
