Hints from Heloise

The Spokesman-Review

Dear Heloise: I am a flight attendant, and I have a travel hint that I’ve wanted to send to you. This is for people who are prone to forgetting their cell phone (while it is recharging) in their hotel room when they check out.

Take the shoes you will be wearing and place one shoe right in front of the door, blocking it. Then place the other shoe with the cell phone and battery charger wherever they are plugged in.

You might leave your room without your keys, sunglasses, wallet or coat, but I guarantee you won’t leave without your shoes. – Julie in Virginia

Julie, clever idea! It did give us a chuckle. One of my assistants tried the hint about leaving your keys with an item you don’t want to forget. Seems she spent more than an hour looking for her keys because she had forgotten that she put them in the fridge so she would not forget some food she had placed in there. Heloise
