Grant awarded to help preserve logging history

Priest Lake State Park has been awarded a $1,500 grant by the Idaho Humanities Council for alog flume interpretation project to help preserve the history of logging in the area and the stories of local loggers.

The project is being made possible with help from volunteers, including Denny Hall, who has helped build a replica of a piece of the old flume with design specifications provided by the Ponderay Historical Society of Newport, Wash.
