Earth Day is April 22, so let’s get in the mood by lining up some of the weekly episodes produced by the folks who created the eco-hip blog Treehugger.

Treehugger Radio is the site’s weekly podcast and it’s pretty standard fare: interviews, politics and useful citizen information to keep us all focused on the environmental cause. Episodes run under 10 minutes.

Host Simran Sethi covers the gamut of news and commentary with a calm, non-preachy tone. If one wants a more die-hard green attitude, a better podcast might be EcoTalk. Treehugger is all about being useful, practical and open to discussion.

The most recent episode included an interview with everyone’s best-known Hollywood greenie, Ed Begley Jr. Does he have anything new to say? Well, let’s just say – how many times can a guy talk about driving a Toyota Prius and finding alternatives to our reliance on the auto?

At least Sethi asks Begley how he got that way. In a nutshell: He was a Boy Scout.
