Hometown: I was born and raised in this area.

Occupation: I’m the seventh-grade English teacher at Post Falls Middle School.

Family: My sons are Alex, 18, and Ethan, 16.

Hobbies: My job is really important, but I also like to cook and work in the garden.

What do you like about North Idaho? It has a great “hometown” feeling, like living in the ‘50s. The community has kind and good people.

What do you like or dislike about the current season? It’s spring, and I’m happy about everything.

Favorite music: I like all kinds of jazz, especially Billie Holiday.

Favorite book: I like biographies, lately ones on Mary Pickford and Winston Churchill.

Favorite movie: “Sleepless in Seattle”

Favorite spot in North Idaho? Why? I like Lake Coeur d’Alene for its camping and boating. But I also like the Silver Valley, where my dad worked as a mining engineer.
