Kellen Griffitts and Cody Courtemanche combined on a three-hitter Thursday as Coeur d’Alene (11-2, 5-2) rolled to a 12-2 Inland Empire League win over host Lakeland (3-8, 0-7) at Rathdrum. Courtemanche threw no-hit ball for the last two innings. For the Vikings, Shea Vucinich went 2 for 4 with two RBIs, Andy Seaman went 3 for 4 with two RBIs, and Alex Reyes and Cody Spencer both finished 2 for 3 with an RBI.

Softball

Sara Hawley pitched a five-hitter and drove in two runs, including the winner in the sixth inning, as Moscow (5-5, 3-3) rallied for a 3-2 win at Lewiston (9-6, 5-5) in the Inland Empire League.

•Reliever Kelsie Vallies struck out the final two batters to preserve North Central’s 4-3 win over visiting Rogers (3-7) in the Greater Spokane League. Vallies entered after Samantha Shelton’s two-run double. The second-place Indians improved to 9-1. … Also in the league, Alex Cey’s two-run homer in the first launched Mead (7-3) toward a 6-3 win at Central Valley. Alexa Morales had an RBI triple for the Bears (6-4). … Danica Hanley went 3 for 4 with four RBIs, tying the game with a two-run homer in the sixth and winning it with an RBI single in the eighth, as East Valley (4-6) defeated visiting Mt. Spokane 10-9. Andy Hacker went 2 for 5 with two runs and two RBIs for the Wildcats (3-7). … Sam Skillingstad pitched a two-hitter, striking out 10 and walking none, and hit a grand slam in the second inning as Shadle Park (10-0) rolled to a five-inning, 16-0 win over visiting Gonzaga Prep (4-6). Shadle’s China Frost added a three-run homer in the second. … Catcher Hillary Johnson had three hits and Caitlin Conner pitched a seven-hitter as Ferris (1-9) notched a 6-2 win over visiting Lewis and Clark (0-10).

Boys soccer

Mitch Weller’s hat trick lead Cheney (11-0, 8-0) to a 4-0 win at Riverside (5-5, 5-4) in the Great Northern League. Cheney registered its 10th consecutive shutout. … Elsewhere, Kyle Kinard, Danny Kang and Evan McCain scored twice apiece to lead Pullman (9-1, 8-1) to an 8-1 win over visiting West Valley (3-7, 3-4).
