Register now for CVSD summer classes, camps
Registration is open for summer school, sports and theater camps offered by the Central Valley School District.
Tuition-based classes are available for in-district and out-of-district students entering grades 1-12.
Students enrolled in the CV district are eligible to apply for a scholarship (tuition reduction) based on the student’s free and reduced-priced lunch status. Transportation is not provided.
Classes will be offered depending on sufficient enrollment.
Catalogs, registration forms, scholarship forms and sports camp physical examination forms are available at the neighborhood schools, the district office, 19307 E. Cataldo Ave. and online at www.cvsd.org/summer_school_2005.asp.
“Elementary Summer Learning Program classes for grades 1 through 5 are scheduled from 8 a.m. to noon, Monday through Thursday, from June 25 to July 26 at Broadway Elementary, 11016 E. Broadway Ave. No classes will be held on July 4 and 5. Tuition is $115 per student; scholarships available.
“Middle School Learning Program classes for grades 6 through 8 are scheduled from 8 a.m. to noon, Monday through Thursday, from June 25 to July 26 at Greenacres Middle School, 17409 E. Sprague Ave. No classes will be held on July 4 and 5. Tuition is $115 per student; scholarships available.
“High School Summer Courses for grades 9 through 12 will be held Mondays through Fridays, June 25 to July 27 at Central Valley High School, 821 S. Sullivan Road. The first session is from 7:30 to 10:46 a.m.; second session is from 11:30 a.m. to 2:46 p.m. No class on July 4. Tuition is $160 per class; scholarships available.
“Sports camps for various ages and sports will be held in May, June and July at University High School, 12420 E. 32nd Ave. and Central Valley High School, 821 S. Sullivan Road. A completed physical examination form is required.
“Summer Theatre Camp for grades 3 through 12 will be held weekdays from 1 to 4 p.m., June 27 to July 11 at Central Valley High School, 821 S. Sullivan Road. No camp on July 4. Tuition is $125; scholarships are not available.
The registration deadline for elementary and middle school programs is June 13; deadline for high school courses is June 20. The deadline to register for sports and theater camps is three days prior to the start of the camp.

Walk-in registration will be taken from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday at University High School, 12420 E. 32nd Ave. and at the district office, 19307 E. Cataldo Ave.
