Tuesday last day to mail tax return

It’s time to pay up.

Tuesday is tax day, the last day to file your 2006 federal income tax return.

The return must be postmarked by April 17. Some “contract” sites in several area supermarkets will accept returns until closing that day.

If you really feel like pushing the envelope, tax returns will be accepted until midnight Tuesday at the U.S. Postal Service Processing and Distribution Center, 2928 S. Spotted Road, Spokane.
