DanceFest will offer varied performances

The Inland Northwest Dance Association presents its annual DanceFest on Saturday at Spokane Community College.

The free event, in honor of National Dance Week, runs from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Lair Building at SCC, 1810 N. Greene St.

Dance of all forms will be featured on the main stage throughout the day, capped by a performance from Ballet Spokane at 6:15 p.m. and a Ceili (Irish round dance) with a live band at 7.

There also will be a public social dance area with free classes all day long; a health fair with lectures on nutrition and the body; an art gallery and arts and crafts displays; a children’s area; a silent auction; information booths by nonprofit organizations; and a spaghetti feed.
