The goal of Somebody Needs You is to match donors with the specific requests of needy Spokane residents.

The list of requests is coordinated by Volunteers of America in cooperation with social service agencies in Spokane.

If someone you know needs help, contact a local social service agency provider.

•Disabled male needs a twin mattress. Contact David at ALTCEW, 458-2509, extension 258.

•Disabled male needs a twin or full bed; senior male needs a loveseat; disabled female needs a twin bed. Contact Joanne at Catholic Charities, 327-6368.

•Family with two boys needs boys’ shoes, sizes 2 ½-3 and 4-5; shirts, sizes 10-12 and 14-16; jeans, size 10-12; underwear, sizes 12 and 14; and crew socks, large. Contact Marci at Transitions, 325-2959.

•Family needs a television with VCR hookup and a dresser for two children. Contact Selina at Community Health Association of Spokane, 434-0297.

•Children (age varies) in or just entering foster care need shampoo, conditioner, soap, hairbrushes, socks, underwear and new or slightly used school clothes (boys and girls sizes 6-16). Contact Carissa at LCS, 343-5035.

•Single grandmother raising four children needs an electric stove, queen bed and bunk beds; single disabled male needs a couch, loveseat, end tables, dresser, microwave and air conditioner. Contact Carolyn at American Indian Community Center, 535-0886.
