Hints from Heloise

The Spokesman-Review

Dear Heloise: I need your help so nobody else need go through what I had to deal with. I’m heartbroken over my little friend of 10 years, my little Yorkie. She died a few days ago.

It was a freak accident. I used one of my old blankets so my little sweetheart would be warm. The blanket had a satin strip on both ends. To make a long story short, about three hours later I found my little friend dead – strangled to death by the satin strip on the blanket. The stitches had come loose on one end of the blanket and were wrapped around her throat.

I hope that by sharing this, I can save someone else’s pet. – Heartbroken in North Carolina

We are so sorry for your loss. Before “giving” something to your pet, check that nothing can come loose and become a danger. Your story might just save a pet’s life. Thank you for writing – I know it was difficult. Heloise
