•The fun continues as two more Valley churches put the finishing touches on their vacation Bible school plans. Pasadena Park Church of the Nazarene will host “Tumbleweed Gulch” Aug. 20-24. The sessions for age 3 through the sixth grade will combine activities and Bible lessons with prizes and daily hayrides.

Classes will meet from 6:30-9 p.m. each day. Registration will begin at 6:15 p.m. on Aug. 20. There is no charge but donations will be accepted for mission projects each evening. Every child who attends will receive a T-shirt. The church is at 8822 E. Upriver Drive. Call the church at 926-5858 for more information.

•Spokane Valley United Methodist Church, 115 N. Raymond Road, will host a VBS session Aug. 21-23 called “Great Bible Reef.” Children in grades K-5 may attend daily classes from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The cost is $20 per child. Call the church at 924-7262 to register.
