Hints from Heloise

The Spokesman-Review

Dear Heloise: Here is what we do at our office, which provides packets of dry hot chocolate or hot cocoa. We pour the packet of dry mix in a cup, and instead of hot water, we pour in coffee. Instant mocha coffee. – Donna, St. Louis

While you’re at it, you can stir in 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, and you’ll have your own Vienna blend. For more quick and very tasty coffee and tea recipes, send $3 and a long, self-addressed, stamped (58 cents) envelope to: Heloise/Coffee, P.O. Box 795001, San Antonio, TX 78279-5001. This pamphlet is filled with delicious tea recipes, including Anise Lemon Tea and Ginger Tea, one of my favorites. – Heloise

Dear Heloise: I read a hint about the importance of keeping emergency contact numbers listed in the glove box of your automobile. It is also important to list them in your cell phone. Put them under ICE (in case of emergency) in your contact list. First-responders will also look in the cell phone for your contacts under this listing. – Kathy, via e-mail
