Don and Carolyn VanLeuven celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house at their home on Aug. 4.

Hosts for the event included their children: Diane VanLeuven and Linda Birdsong, both of Spokane, and Dean VanLeuven, Oklahoma City.

The couple were married Sept. 9, 1957, in Ephrata, Wash. They have three grandchildren.
