Pirates 11, Phillies 6: At Pittsburgh, third baseman Abraham Nunez’s two-run throwing error put the Pirates in the lead for the first time and Pittsburgh withstood Philadelphia’s four-run first inning and two early home runs to beat the Phillies.
Diamondbacks 12, Braves 6: At Atlanta, Orlando Hudson went 4 for 5 and drove in two runs to back a brilliant performance by Micah Owings in Arizona’s victory over the Braves.
Rockies vs. Dodgers: At Los Angeles, the Rockies and Dodgers were tied 4-4 going into the 11th inning at press time.
