The late Anna Nicole Smith‘s daughter, Dannielynn, will celebrate her first birthday next month at a party in Louisville, Ky.

The party will be held at the home of Tricia Barnstable Brown, who hosts an annual Kentucky Derby-eve party packed with celebrities.

Smith and Dannielynn’s father, Larry Birkhead, a Louisville native, met at the 2003 party.

The catered party for Dannielynn will have elaborate decorations and hot-air balloons, Brown says.

She expects about 200 people, including Howard K. Stern, who had been in a custody battle with Birkhead over Dannielynn.

Smith gave birth to Dannielynn in the Bahamas on Sept. 7. Her 20-year-old son, Daniel, died three days later at her hospital bedside from a lethal combination of drugs.

Smith later died in Florida on Feb. 8, at age 39, from a deadly mix of prescription drugs.

Stern, Smith’s longtime lawyer, claimed to be Dannielynn’s father, but DNA tests proved last spring that it actually was Birkhead.

You singing to me – again?

Robert De Niro got to celebrate his 64th birthday twice.

The actor first turned 64 in Melbourne, Australia, on Friday where he attended the grand opening of his latest Nobu restaurant.

Then he caught a private jet over the international dateline and had another birthday the same day in Hawaii.

More down time for the tenor

Luciano Pavarotti will remain in an Italian hospital for several more days to have further tests related to his pancreatic cancer, doctors said Monday.

The 71-year-old tenor was admitted to the hospital on Aug. 8 because of a high fever, which has cleared up.

The opera star had surgery for pancreatic cancer, one of the deadliest forms of the disease, in July 2006 in New York.

At the time of the operation, Pavarotti had been preparing to resume his farewell tour. He has made no public appearances since then.

And this is news because …?

British rocker Pete Doherty was arrested yet one more time Monday in east London on suspicion of drug possession.

Earlier this month, a judge warned Doherty, the on-again, off-again boyfriend of supermodel Kate Moss, that he must prove his desire to quit drugs or face a jail sentence for his previous offenses.

Doherty, 28, has admitted possessing crack cocaine, heroin, cannabis and an anesthetic called ketamine, as well as to two driving offenses.

He’s not really a bad actor

As part of a plea deal reached following a marijuana arrest earlier this year, hip-hop star Method Man has been ordered to visit 15 city high schools to warn students about the dangers of drugs.

The former Wu-Tang Clan member, whose real name is Clifford Smith, “is thrilled to do it,” his lawyer says, adding: “He’s never been in trouble before. He’s not a stereotypical rapper.”

Smith, 36, was arrested in May after Brooklyn toll-booth workers reported smelling marijuana smoke coming from his SUV.
