John and Ruby Streit will celebrate their 68th wedding anniversary with a family gathering in Newman Lake on Sunday.

Hosts for the event will include their children: Jonnie Anderson, Hood River, Ore., and Tom Streit, La Conner, Wash.

The couple were married Aug. 26, 1939, in Opportunity. They have four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
