The Slice
THE SLICE
Seeing that the movie “Halloween” has been remade reminded me of watching the original in a big, old-fashioned theater in the late ‘70s.
It was flat-out scary. I’ve seen it on TV a few times since, and it’s just not the same.
That time in the theater, the guy behind me was so into it he grabbed my seat-back and yelled instructions to the menaced baby sitter on the screen.
Anyway, that leads me to another observation. Have you noticed that, with less than 10 weeks before Oct. 31, some stores still don’t have sprawling Halloween candy displays?
What’s going on here? Have retailers decided to show some respect for the calendar?
Yeah, and this time when they do away with Michael Myers he’ll be gone for good.
