Orofino tops Kellogg in IML opener

Katie Nemeth and Rebecca Nemeth each scored second-half goals to lead the visiting Orofino Maniacs to a 2-0 victory over the Kellogg Wildcats in an Intermountain League girls soccer opener on Monday.

Katie’s goal came off a rebound of a missed shot at the 50-minute mark and Rebecca scored on a cross shot over the goalkeeper to the inside corner of the net from 22 yards out just five minutes later.

Orofino (1-0, 1-0) finished with five shots on goal, while Kellogg (0-1, 0-1) had four scoring attempts.
