Padres 6, Diamondbacks 4: At San Diego, Mike Cameron homered to start a four-run rally off Brandon Webb in the sixth inning and the Padres beat Arizona to pull within one game of the Diamondbacks in the West Division.

Marlins 4, Braves 3 (11): At Miami, Alejandro De Aza’s sacrifice fly gave Florida a win over Atlanta in 11 innings.

Cardinals 7, Astros 0: At Houston, Chris Duncan homered and drove in four runs and St. Louis spoiled the debut of manager Cecil Cooper with a victory over the Astros.

Giants 3, Rockies 1: At San Francisco, Bengie Molina homered to help Matt Cain win his third straight start as the Giants topped Colorado.

Dodgers 4, Nationals 3: At Los Angeles, Jeff Kent homered and Andre Ethier’s sacrifice fly broke a seventh-inning tie as the Dodgers nipped Washington.

Pirates 6-3, Reds 4-2: At Pittsburgh, Freddy Sanchez had five RBIs in the opener, then tripled and scored the winning run in the eighth inning of the second game to give the Pirates a doubleheader sweep over Cincinnati.
