NHL : Gaborik lifts Wild to win over Blues
Marian Gaborik’s wrist shot with 2:39 left in overtime gave the Minnesota Wild a 3-2 win over the St. Louis Blues on Friday in St. Paul, Minn.
Gaborik corralled the puck about 5 feet inside the Minnesota zone, skated in on Manny Legace and beat him on the stick side.
Brian Rolston and Brent Burns also scored for the Wild, who have won three in a row for the first time since starting the season with five straight victories.

Hurricanes 4, Capitals 3: At Raleigh, N.C., Rod Brind’Amour scored two goals to lead Carolina past Washington.
Penguins 4, Stars 1: At Pittsburgh, Sidney Crosby had two goals to help the Penguins to the victory over Dallas.
Sharks 3, Avalanche 2: At San Jose, Calif., Joe Thornton had two goals and an assist to lead the Sharks past Colorado.
Blackhawks 6, Coyotes 1: At Chicago, Dustin Byfuglien scored three goals as the Blackhawks beat Phoenix.
Oilers 5, Ducks 1: At Edmonton, Alberta, Shawn Horcoff had a goal and two assists as the Oilers defeated Anaheim.

A jury in Clayton, Mo., awarded $9.5 million to the family of former Chicago Blackhawks star Keith Magnuson in a wrongful-death lawsuit against former NHL player Rob Ramage, whose drunken driving accident left Magnuson dead.
