Administration insensitive

The Spokesman-Review

The hostile firing of WSU coach Bill Doba points to an out-of-touch athletic director and university president. This coach brought dignity to the program, built up players after letdowns and always made me proud to support this school and its teams.

He is fired ostensibly for the poor judgment of defeating the UW Huskies instead of OSU. If he had only known. I can’t bring myself to support as a fan or alumni dad this corrupt action. Can they be this insensitive?

QB Alex Brink summed it up pretty well, comparing the lack of interest in the team by this latest president hire to President Rawlins, the retired president. This deed shows how little the current administration understands the damage done to the perception of the rightness of higher education.

What have you done for us lately, coach? Sorry, not good enough. Sick.
