Community Update: Musical to benefit humane society
Enjoy “Christmas in Reverse,” a musical performed by children ages 6 to 18, telling the tale of the birth of Jesus all the way back to the Garden of Eden, on Friday and Saturday.
Held at the Candlelight Christian Fellowship, 5725 N. Pioneer Drive in Coeur d’Alene, the event on Friday is at 7 p.m., and on Saturday two performances will be held, one at 2 p.m. and one at 7.
Admission is $10 per person and proceeds benefit orphaned and homeless animals at the Kootenai Humane Society.

Christmas Apple Sale
Give the gift of apples this Christmas with the annual downtown Spokane Kiwanis Club Apple Sale.
Now through Dec. 20, Washington-grown Fuji apples will be available in a decorative gift box, filled with 20 individually wrapped apples for $30, or a case of 80 unwrapped apples for $45 is also available. Kiwanis members will deliver the apples for free.
Proceeds will benefit children in Spokane and community service programs in the downtown neighborhood.

Christ Kitchen Benefit
On Sunday, five local chefs and five local architects will combine their talents to create immense and extraordinary gingerbread structures that will be decorated in three hours for all to see at the Davenport Hotel.
This event will be held on the Mezzanine level from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and also includes an opportunity for kids to decorate their own gingerbread houses for $10, held in the Grand Pennington Ballroom from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Proceeds benefit Christ Kitchen, a job training ministry for Spokane women living in poverty.
