Hometown: I was raised in Mason City, Iowa. We moved to Coeur d’Alene in 1991 from our last church assignment in San Diego.

Family: My wife Diann, (our daughter Jennifer and our sons David and Ed.

Hobbies: Tennis and reading.

What do you like about North Idaho? It’s beautiful. This is definitely God’s country.

What do you like or dislike about the current season? I think our summers are wonderful with warm days and cool night, but I could do without winter.

Favorite music: Church choir music

Favorite TV show: Sports of any kind. That and the news are about all I watch these days.

Favorite movie: Any of the James Bond movies.

Favorite spot in North Idaho? Why? My home. I love it and my family.
