Henrik Zetterberg got his second career hat trick and Dominik Hasek stopped 19 shots for his 77th career shutout to lift the Red Wings to a 5-0 win over the Minnesota Wild on Friday night in Detroit.

Thrashers 4, Rangers 2: At Atlanta, Slava Kozlov’s slap shot with about 5 minutes left in the game lifted the Thrashers to a win over New York.

Avalanche 2, Flyers 1: At Denver, Jose Theodore made 28 saves to lead Colorado to victory over Philadelphia.

Devils 3, Capitals 2: At Newark, N.J., Vitaly Vishnevski and Dainius Zubrus scored 4:15 apart in the first period and New Jersey beat Washington.

Ducks 5, Blackhawks 3: At Chicago, Ryan Getzlaf had a goal and two assists to lift Anaheim over the Blackhawks.

Panthers 3, Islanders 0: At Sunrise, Fla., Stephen Weiss and Nathan Horton scored power-play goals as Florida beat New York.

Senators 4, Stars 2: At Dallas, Christoph Schubert and Antoine Vermette scored first-period goals and Ottawa beat the Stars.

Sharks 1, Coyotes 0: At Glendale, Ariz., Evgeni Nabokov shut out Phoenix as San Jose beat the Coyotes.

Blues 4, Oilers 3: At Edmonton, Alberta, Brad Boyes scored two goals as St. Louis defeated the Oilers.

Predators Holdings LLC announced it has completed its $193 million purchase of the Nashville Predators from Craig Leipold, ending months of uncertainty over the team’s future. … Predators forward David Legwand has signed a six-year, $27 million contract extension through the 2014-15 season. … The Vancouver Canucks have denied that former coach Marc Crawford called for retaliation against Steve Moore during a 2004 game against Colorado. Moore sustained a broken neck and a concussion after an attack by Todd Bertuzzi and has not played hockey since. The Canucks were angry with Moore for delivering a questionable hit.
