Central Valley recorded five pins and cruised to a 43-20 win over Mt. Spokane in a Greater Spokane League match at Mt. Spokane.
Jacob Neumann (215 pounds), Colby Davis (285), Braden Davis (103), Trevor Delmedico (125) and Justin Walker (140) all notched pins for the Bears (3-1) to hand the Wildcats (3-1) their first loss of the season.
In other league matches, East Valley (3-0) won the first six matches and 11 of the 14 and beat host Rogers (1-3) 61-12. The Knights, who moved into first place in the league, won five of their matches by pin. … Mead notched four pins en route to a 55-15 victory over host Lewis and Clark (0-4). Kyle Courtney (135), Drew Comito (171), Jake Trotter (215) and Anthony Bond (112) all had pins for the Panthers (3-1). … North Central (1-2) won four of the final five matches to edge host Gonzaga Prep 43-39.The Bullpups (0-3) won the first two matches and then lost eight of the next 12. … Josh Rettinghouse, Coby Walsh and Andre Rivera all recorded pins to guide Ferris to a 41-22 victory over visiting Shadle Park (1-3). Junior Taylor Gray won the floor exercise, balance beam and vault to guide Mead to a Greater Spokane League victory over Ferris, Shadle Park and host Lakeside in Nine Mile Falls. Kari Young won the all-around and bars for Shadle. … Elsewhere, Denel Lang took the top spot on uneven bars and finished third in the vault to guide University to a victory over visiting Central Valley. Courtney Sexton took the individual title on all-around, beam and floor to lead the Bears.
Boys basketball
Casey Langford scored 20 points and A.J. Bennett added 10 as Bonners Ferry (2-4) defeated Clark Fork 69-48 in a non-league game at Clark Fork. Jared Broggi had 13 points and Mike Martin added 11 to lead the Wampus Cats (3-1). … In other non-league games, Aaron Corsi scored 17 points and pulled down eight rebounds to guide St. Maries to a 75-41 win over visiting Kootenai. Michael Smith tossed in 13 points and Marc Grubham added 12 for the Lumberjacks (2-3), who outscored the Warriors 26-4 in the first quarter. Ethan Patzer led Kootenai (4-2) with 11 points. … Ed Wolfe scored 17 points to lead Lake Roosevelt to a 56-38 win over host Cashmere. Matt Pleasants added eight points for the Raiders.

Megan Brown scored 10 points to lead Brewster to a 43-34 non-league win over host Medical Lake. Kaitlin McNeill led the Cardinals (2-2) with a game-high 14 points and 16 rebounds.
