The seventh-ranked Bulldogs (10-0) have been in the NCAA tournament 24 times under Hall of Fame coach Andy Landers, who has 775 career wins. They have reached the Sweet 16 a total of 17 times and appeared in five Final Fours.

Three starters and eight letterwinners return from last year’s 27-7 team that lost to Purdue in the Sweet 16. The leader is 6-foot-3 senior Tasha Humphrey, a three-time All-American and Southeastern Conference player with career averages of 18.5 points and 8.4 rebounds. Ashley Houts, a 5-6 guard, was the SEC Freshman of the Year. The roster includes 11 players at least 6-1. Five are 6-3 or taller.

After a relatively soft non-conference schedule, the competition picks up in the SEC plus a non-conference game at Oklahoma.

Projected top four seeds: Tennessee, UConn, Rutgers, Stanford.
